Growth Mindset Cat ( cheezburger ) This is the first I have heard about Carol Dweck, but I have seen a number of different people with similar messages. I see myself far onto the growth-mindset side of the spectrum. This is something that I have really come to believe in the past year and something that has really helped me become more successful and find a better balance in my life. In the past, I experienced challenges, and when I couldn’t accomplish a task easily it frustrated me and made me really angry. I had the work ethic to push through my frustration but probably dealt with significantly more negative emotions than I needed to. I have really come to appreciate that what is really important, really rewarding is struggle and growth. Getting an A on a test is great, but what’s really awesome is mastering concepts that you didn’t understand and putting in the work to get there and make that A.
